Combat Vet Peer to Peer Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) Faith-Based Online Support Group
The Combat Vet Peer to Peer Post-Traumatic Stress (PTS) Online Support Groups is for combat vets with PTS to come together each week to talk, get encouragement and support, talk about day to day struggles, ask questions, and hopefully share a few laughs. The group is not a substitute for professional mental health counseling and should not be taken as being professional mental health counseling. The group is run by combat vets that care, know what you are going through as they too have gone through it. We meet on Monday evenings at 10:30pm Eastern Time. After the REBOOT Combat Recovery Course is over, the meeting time will return to 10pm Eastern.
The group meets once a week for an hour. Every few weeks we have a specific topic of discussion. Some topics are the various treatment programs offered by the VA, moral and spiritual injury, hobbies that help, anger management, dealing with people, how to survive Memorial Day, how to survive Independence Day, and other major holidays. Those are just a few of the topics. At times, we will have a guest speaker join us to answer some questions on topics such as medications and filing claims with the VA.
